Can I apply for insurance coverage on-line?

No. Our insurance carriers need to have the application with the applicant's original signature on file in order to issue coverage. Although you cannot submit your application on-line, you may download and print our insurance applications and mail it via the post office or an overnight mail service, to the insurance carrier. Or simply give us a call at 1-800-355-3869 and we would be more than happy to mail you the information packet along with the application.

Can you fax me an application?

Unfortunately we cannot fax an application. Our insurance carriers require an original application that has been printed by NASW Assurance Services or printed from the application file on our website. Our insurance carriers will not accept a copy of a faxed application even if it is mailed to them.

How long does it take for my policy to become effective and "in force"?

Insurance policies are issued on the first day of every calendar month. All applications are subject to underwriting, which typically takes 2 weeks but might take 4 to 6 weeks. It is advisable to get your application in early if you need coverage by a certain date. Our carriers try to underwrite and issue policies as quickly as possible.

Do you offer health insurance?

No. NASW Assurance Services does not offer major medical/health insurance. You may try checking your state's Insurance Department, which regulates all the insurance companies in your state. The state Insurance Department may have a list and/or information on health insurance providers in your state or where you can obtain individual health insurance policies.
