Ann P. Casso

Ann P. CassoAnn Casso is the Executive Director of the AIA Trust where she is responsible for the development and administration of member benefit and insurance programs serving the members of the American Institute of Architects. She also develops online risk management resources for AIA members, including a professional liability database, a legal network, and a growing library of white papers about evolving risks for architects. She is an ex-officio member of the AIA Board of Trustees which oversees the affairs of the AIA Trust.

Prior to running the AIA Trust, Ann served in the senior management of three major national associations, running the marketing and membership operations, insurance and other member programs at the American Association for Justice (AAJ), the American Association of University Women (AAUW), and the American Institute of Architects (AIA).

Her responsibilities have ranged from membership development where she achieved double-digit increases to the development and management of a wide variety of programs encompassing professional practice sections, chapter initiatives, innovative member benefit programs, revenue generation, member retention initiatives, and high donor membership.

Ann has spoken to leadership and membership groups at numerous associations as well as conducted strategic planning and team-building sessions. She holds a Master’s of Science degree in Organization Development from the American University in Washington, DC and a Bachelor of Arts degree from their School of International Service.
